Precious Metal Lip Crayon Collection

May 24, 2017

Hello Hello!

Welcome to another Wednesday post! As I mentioned in my Pixi Glow Review post, today’s post will be a short review on Primarks Precious Metals Lip Crayon Collection.  I have a major back log of posts that I want to share with you guys so some of the products I’ll be writing about lately might not be new to you but please bare with me!

A number of months ago I had a wee trip to Primark to check out the latest make up that was on the scene and also to pick up a new beauty sponge.  If you’ve been to Primark you’ll know that there are plastic bowls/containers that are set up along the length of the checkout queue and I ALWAYS fall for their marketing tactic!  I initially saw that there was a container of lip crayons and I presumed that they were all the same so grabbed a gold one because gold is cool right? I then noticed that there was 2 other colours and I just had to have them!

As the picture shows there are 3 shades in total; bronze, rose gold and gold.  Despite having bronze and gold metallic lipsticks already, these are crayons so that it makes it okay right??  First off, I really like the simplicity of the packaging.  I feel like they look quite expensive despite only being £2 each which is an absolute bargain! Saying that, I do wish that they maybe came as a set in a nice box or bag but then again maybe I’m expecting too much of Primark!

I’ve never really used crayon style lipsticks before never mind metallic ones and I am highly impressed at the pigmentation of these! These swatches were taking in natural day light; no extra lighting, flash and it wasn’t a sunny day either!

Despite the pigmentation they aren’t 100% on the lips.  They are a little patchy especially the gold shade and they don’t last too long on the lips.  The Rose Gold one is more of a metallic baby pink but is by far my favourite and super wearable. I’d definitely say they are more of a ‘Instagram pic’ kinda lipstick and hey, is there really anything wrong with that?

Overall, I do love these crayons despite their flaws. I definitely don’t regret buying them! If they are still in your local Primark I would suggest trying them out for yourself as products work differently for us all!

That’s it from me! See you on Satuday my lovelies.
