SKINCARE SATURDAY | Clean and Clear Trio

June 10, 2017

Hello everyone!

On today’s edition of Skincare Saturday I’m going to be talking about a trio of Clean and Clear products that I bought recently. I bought the Clean & Clear Essential Clear Skin Starter Kit for £6 (at Tesco) purely because I wanted to try new things and it was very cheap. I’m aware that these products may not be new but I have never tried them before and wanted to give them a go! In this post I’ll discuss each product individually in the order I would use them and as always I’ll have my final verdict at the end.

As a disclaimer I would like to point out that I removed all make up with my usual Clinque Take the Day off Balm before starting the routine.

The first product I use is the Exfoliating Daily Wash.  This face scrub claims to clean skin and unblock pores with gentle micro-beads.  I must say the scrub is very very fine and feels strangely soothing on the skin.  You can definitely feel the exfoliation however it is not harsh in any sort of way which I think is perfect – especially for an everyday scrub.  To be quite honest I will use the scrub every other day and my skin can be quite sensitive and I’m always afraid that if I use a scrub everyday it will make my redness worse! On its own this face scrub costs £3.20 (in Boots) for a 150ml bottle which I think is a great deal!facetune-49

Next up I use the Deep Action Facial Wipes.  Normally I’m quite against wipes as for me personally, all they seem to do is dry out my skin like craaazy! Not these babies! These wipes have an almost medical smell? Not only do they leave your skin feeling fresh but it also leaves a slight tingling sensation on the skin. I’m still unsure if this is a normal feeling to have! For a pack of 25 wipes it will set you back £3.79 which is definitely pushing the pricier side for some face wipes but it truly depends on your budget. I’m sure there will be a cheaper version of these but as of yet, I am still to find them!facetune-52

The last and for my poor skin, the most important step is applying the Dual Action Moisturiser. Like the wipes this moisturiser leaves a slight tingling sensation but nothing uncomfortable.  It instantly hydrates the skin and a little truly goes a long way! Genuinely, anymore than a pea sized amount and you are left with so much extra – I tend to rub the leftovers into my hands and arms!facetune-50

Overall, I adore this set! I’ve noticed that my skin has a lot less blemishes and my redness has significantly reduced which is a bonus! For £2 per product I absolutely cannot complain, will definitely be repurchasing this set!

That’s my last skincare Saturday post for a little while as I am away on holiday and won’t be able to try any new products! Stay tuned for my Versatile Blogger Tag post on Wednesday!

I actually really like Clean and Clear. Before I got into Clinique and Lush Cosmetics, I used it! Now I use other drugstore brands like Biore, but Clean and Clear may be something I try again in the future! Great entry! I love your posts, and I’m looking forward to reading your future content!

Stop by if you get a chance,
