I love travelling and I am so keen to do more of it. In my 22 years on this planet I feel like I have done a fair amount of visiting other countries. I’ve been to; Spain, Florida, New York, Houston, Jakarta, Kulala Lumpur, Bali, Prague, Berlin, France and Thailand too. Of course I’ve traveled to local UK places too.
Like everyone else, I would ideally like to visit everywhere but this obviously isn’t always possible so I figured I would make a top 5 of places that I would love to visit – maybe even aim to visit them before I have children (not that that’s anytime soon!)
Italy
There is a number of places in Italy that I would like to visit such as; Milan, Rome and Venice. I just think they all look absolutely beautiful. I often enjoy a more adventurous/ exploring holiday to beachy ones but I think doing a little tour of Italy would be great for both.
Of, course if the sights of Italy were not enough of a reason to want to go, the food definitely is! Can’t really think of anything better than sitting with an authentic Italian pizza or some pasta with a glass of wine in the nice sunshine.
India
I’ve always wanted to go to India and for a few good reasons too! Of course the obvious one being the food. I eat a lot of Indian cuisine and I definitely would say it’s my favourite however I know for sure experiencing food in India itself would be much better experience with more authentic recipes and spices.
Another big reason for wanting to visit India is the beautiful architecture of their buildings. You have places like the Taj Mahal, the Lotus Temple and the Jama Masjid just to name a few that are gorgeous in photos and I’m sure will look even more impressive in person.
Vietnam
If you google Vietnam right now I am 100% sure it’ll convince you to want to visit there too. It is just simply stunning. Not only does it have some amazing beaches but it is also filled with history and beautiful architecture.
In case you have’t noticed by now, I’m big into my food and the food choices do tend to sway where I want to visit – Vietnam is no exception to this. Vietnam’s signature dish is called Pho which consists of beef or chicken broth flavoured with ginger and coriander, flat rice noodles, spring onions and slivers of chicken, pork or beef – yuuuum!
Croatia
Croatia seems more of an adventure/ exploring sort of holiday with lots of different things to see and do. Although it is also known for beautiful beaches. I quite fancy doing a sort of tour around Croatia visiting places such as; Dubrovnik, Split and Zagreb.
I know a few people who have visited Croatia and fallen in love with it so I definitely have to add it to my top 5!
South Africa
There are a few reasons that South Africa takes my fancy but the main one is simply the Wildlife. South Africa has a number of national parks including the Addo Elephant National Park and the most famous – Kruger National Park. At these parks you can see Elephants, Lions, Rhinos, Cheetahs and many more safari species.
The beaches are another big reason I would love to visit South Africa. They are honestly so beautiful that they don’t even look real! It would definitely be a great place to go for 2 weeks and get away from the business of Aberdeen!
All this talk of holidays is making me want to grab my sunnies and head straight for the airport!
Have you been to any of these places or like me are still dreaming of going? Let me know!
Until next time,
