Goodbye 2023.
No, the blog is not dead (close but not quite).
I believe my last post was March 2023 and things have been crazy since then to say the least.
2023 was filled with the most incredible ups! I travelled to Jamaica, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, I attended the Singapore Grand Prix, we welcomed our furry fella into our family, and I even got my first tattoo!
Unfortunately, all of these wonderful occasions were tainted with a dark film as 2023 also saw me lose my mum to Cancer. I would like to do a post about grief at some point but I’m not quite there yet.
Hello 2024!
There is really only one way to start a new year, and that is with a vision board right?? Well, here is mine…
Ultimately through being outdoors, travelling, writing, fitness, socialising and practicing mindfulness my aim is to simply feel happiness.
That is not to say that I don’t currently feel happiness but I put an awful lot of pressure on myself to be a certain way and to enjoy certain things but at the end of the day that brain fog and lowness just always hangs around. 2024 is the year I blow that fog away… for good!
Things I currently have planned in 2024;
- Reading; 2 chums that I used to work with and I set up a Book Club together to encourage reading more and also an excuse to meet up!
- Fitness; I’ve signed myself up for 2 “CrossFit” style classes every week with a local in my village. I’ve also signed up for Race for Life in June
- Hiking/Walking; my chum and I are aiming to do a new walk every month (weather permitting)
- Travel; Dublin and Barcelona already booked
- Socialising; I’ve got Girls Aloud and Taylor Swift tickets both in June less than a week apart!
It’s not a lot but its a start and I’m excited to see how it goes.
