So basically I’ve stolen this post idea from Stephanie! Check her post out at: Starting from scratch make up kit. It is such a good post and definitely one to read!
Imagine your entire house gets flooded and all your make up is washed away and destroyed – you have literally lost hundreds of pounds worth of make up and you need to repurchase EVERYTHING! What do you run out and buy??
My go to primer would definitely be Barry M Flawless Colour Correcting Primer – £5.99. This primer is incredible. I have a lot of redness in my face and this makes a huge difference in balancing it out and also makes my foundation go on so much smoother.
For foundation it would have to be my new holy grail foundation, LOreal Paris Infallible Matte Foundation – £7.99. I’ve been using this foundation for about 2 weeks now and have truly loved it (I will do a full review). I went off using matte foundations as my skin was really dry and it didn’t look very nice but this one doesn’t seem to cling to my dry patches like others previously have. It really evens out the skin tone and has a pretty high coverage.
Setting foundation is a must so I would definitely need to get my hands on Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder (in translucent) – £3.99. This powder is so inexpensive but effective! It doesn’t cake up on your face and lasts all day – even through busy shifts at McDonalds!!
For blush, bronzer and highlight all in one I would definitely repurchase Makeup Revolution Blush Queen Palette – £6. This palette contains more brown toned shades, pink/purple shades and also one almost white shade which means I could possibly get away with using it for everything face related for the time being!
I couldn’t go a day without filling in my brows so I’d quickly be buying Benefit BrowZings Brow Shaping Kit – £24.50. This wee kit is a life saver. No matter how bad my eyebrows look the wax always comes to my rescue!
As far as eyeshadows go I would definitely have to purchase Morphe Brushes 35T Palette – £18.25. This palette was originally bought for me and I haven’t been able to live without it since! So many gorgeous colours with incredible pigment and lasting power.
Mascara is a tough one but I think that I’d go for Natural Collection Lash Length Mascara – £1.99. For the price of this mascara it is absolutely amazing. I’ve used this mascara for about 3 years now and gone through so many tubes!
Although I own around 70 lip products this was not a difficult decision at all. Mac Cosmetics (in MEHR) – £15.50. This lipstick is just all round perfection! The colour, the finish and the lasting power. I cannot say enough good things about this lipstick!
So I guess that would be the start of my new collection! If you liked this post why don’t you try it for yourself? Tag me in your post so that I can read all of your make up favourites too!
Love this tag! Great post!x
Aw thank you! X
Great post! I love that you did your own version of this! It’s so interesting to read what the first thing someone would buy is and you’ve definitely inspired me to try out some of the things you mentioned! x
Aw thank you hun ☺️ what products you thinking of trying? X
The past few times I’ve been in Boots i’ve had a wee nosey at the Barry M primer! I am yet to hear much about it though, so I haven’t tried it yet. Do you use the green or purple one? 🙂 x
Yeah I haven’t really seen much about it but I use the green one and I really like it! My foundation goes on so much smoother and it’s pretty inexpensive too! X
amazing! I’ll deffo pick it up next time i’m out. x
That max shade looks amazing 😍
Nice selection x Great products, the lipstick is such a pretty shade!
Thank you! It’s a great everyday colour!
