Femme Luxe Finery… Who are they? Are they real? A scam?
Femme Luxe is one of those brands who I hadn’t really heard much about and doesn’t have the best reviews on Trust Pilot so when they reached out to me I knew I had to try it out and see for myself what it’s all about. I will add that although I was gifted these items the review is completely honest and in no way persuaded by the brand. I picked the following 4 items out of about 100 different choices. I chose them based on my personal style as well as some things that were a little different.
My first impression of the site was – hmm I’m not sure this website is for me… This was purely based on the models with perfect figures wearing very tight or minimal clothing. None the less I managed to choose 3 jumpers and a pair of leggings to review. I saw on some of the Trust Pilot reviews that orders didn’t arrive or took a long time but that is honestly not something I can comment on as I ordered on a Monday and it arrived by Thursday which I feel is pretty standard.
First lets talk about the Black Ribbed Knit Leggings. I got these in a M/L which was recommended for size 12/14. These are pretty comfy although too big for me for sure and I don’t think the S/M size would have fit. They are also pretty see through which is not the most ideal. I reckon if you’re clever and wear black pants and a longer top/jumper you could get away with it. Despite all that I have been enjoying these for lounging around the house – as I said they are pretty comfortable!
My next item of choice was Neon Lime Knitted Oversized Polo Neck Jumper. With neons becoming a big trend this year and Aberdeen being forever cold I figured this jumper was a good shout! Again I got this in a M/L recommended for size 12/14. I am so overly gutted about this item because I flipping love the colour of it but it is just far too big. The material felt nice and not itchy like some knits can be and would definitely keep you cosy. It’s just such a shame that it absolutely swamps me.
The next jumper I got was the Khaki Stripe Hooded Crop Sweater. To be honest, I would normally ignore anything with the word crop in it but I thought this hoodie looked too cool to pass. Again the material feels pretty good it is just too cropped for my liking and fully exposes my bra if I slightly lift up my arms… not the look I aim for! I had really thought that if I paired this jumper with some high waisted leggings or jeans it would but alright but unfortunately it is not for me!
Lets end on a high shall we? The final item I chose was the Grey Fluffy Long Sleeve Crop Jumper. Like I said before, I usually avoid anything that says cropped but I went for it and I am so glad I did. The jumper is kinda cropped but paired with some high waisted jeans there is barely any skin on show. Again I bought this in a M/L which was maybe a little on the snug side but a definitely 180 on the other items I had ordered. I will 100% be wearing this again soon!
Let’s talk about money. I’d say the items Femme Luxe Finery have are well priced majority of the time. Some of them maybe are more on the pricier side however they also do tend to have sales on to save you some cash!
So… would I purchase from Femme Luxe Finery?? Sure! They definitely seem to be on trend with their clothing and okay some of the things are going to be misses but every website has their downfalls right? I would definitely be keen to order some midi dresses and shoes from them to see what sort of quality and sizing that they have to offer in those departments.
Have you ordered anything from Femme Luxe Finery? What did you think of their clothing? Let me know!
See you on Thursday with a Blogger of the Month post!
