For the first time in many years my dad is actually around for Father’s Day! He recently moved back to the UK and so I’ve had to sit and think about some great gift ideas for him. I’ve put together 6 gift ideas that I think most dad’s will be chuffed about this year!
I did a Gift Guide for Him back in December for Blogmas so I’m keen to avoid any copies but feel free to check that post out for some extra inspiration!
Electric Wine Bottle Opener*
I don’t know about you but my dad likes a good bottle of red wine – he also like gadgets! I was very kindly sent the Ozeri Fascina Electric Wine Bottle Opener and Corkscrew which comes in 3 colours; silver, green and blue for a pretty cheap £12.95. This has super mixed reviews on Amazon but it worked great for me, removing the cork without any breakage and without pushing the cork into the bottle.
ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 Book*
Got a cricket loving dad? Then I reckon he’ll like this one! Why not get him the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 England Official Book? It is the only official celebration of the world’s most important cricket tournament and contains absolutely everything fans need in order to follow the World Cup this year! The book retails for £14.99 and can be purchased from Carlton Books.
As someone who doesn’t know a single thing about cricket, I found it interesting myself learning about the history of the tournament. I also think it’s really cool that the last page has a list of the match dates and a space for you to record the final scores. There is also a kids version of the book!
Personalised T-shirt
A t-shirt or polo is a really easy go to gift so why not personalise it! My dad has the cutest little miniature Yorkshire Terrier called Rose and they are pretty much inseparable when he’s at home. I literally just googled ‘personalised t-shirts’ and came across Street Shirts – there is tons of options to base your t-shirt design on but I opted for the Super Soft Heavy Tee in Royal. I then edited the background out of the photo of Rose and uploaded it to the site. It was super easy to adjust and you can have text too if you fancy! For £15 including postage I’m really happy with it!
Skincare / Toiletries*
Men often don’t care too much about skincare – but that doesn’t mean they don’t need it! Lavera focus’ on powerful yet gentle-on-the-skin formulations with active ingredient compositions using natural and organic ingredients. These products have the same super subtle fresh and light scent. The organic shaving foam allows for a close shave and contains Aloe Vera to avoid any shaving rash or irritation. (A full review of this to come)
Kitchen Apron*
Every great cook needs a great apron to keep them clean! My dad is said great cook and so this special apron is perfect. House of Hopstock is a new home-ware and accessories brand that focus on bold, vibrant prints – and let me tell you they are all beautiful! This Frog and Bug Apron is from the ‘Fatal Attraction‘ range and I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen such a bright and colourful print on an apron before!
Gin Subscription *
I knew about beauty boxes but I didn’t know about Gin boxes! ILoveGin.com send out a monthly subscription box that contains 2 x Miniature Gins + 2 x tonics/mixers and a recipe card with tasting notes about the miniatures you’ve received that month. Each box contains enough gin and tonic to make 4 drinks for just £14 a month. It’s a great way to try different gins/tonics without committing to a whole bottle! (A full review of this to come!)
With just a little over a week until Father’s Day hopefully these gifts have given you some inspiration on what to get the father figure in your life!
