I want to put in a quick little disclaimer – I am in no way bragging about what I have received for my birthday. I know that I am incredibly lucky to have been given what I did and I am extremely grateful to my friends and family.
So now that’s done lets get into it! Starting with my family:
My Dad lives in Kuala Lumpur and so it’s usually quite difficult to get gifts from him and he wasn’t sure what to get me. He has messaged James saying that he wanted to book us a weekend away somewhere but due to James and I working shifts it was difficult to know when we would get time off. Anyway, Dad managed to find this amazing beauty.
Inside is a gift voucher for a Two Night Hotel Break with Dinner. All I have to do is log in and choose from a variety of hotels. Cannot wait!!
My Mum and I go on holiday to Tenerife every single year for a two week get-a-way and it is usually right before my birthday so this year mum said that instead of physically buying me anything she would pay for me to go on a spa day with her and my sister, Lisa.
Lisa, Chris, Amber and Seren (My sister, brother in law and two nieces) bought me this really gorgeous scarf that is full of pinks and also hints of green/blue. This style of scarf is so handy because they are thick enough to keep you warm but also cool enough to wear in the summer time when it is breezy.
My brother, Grandparents, Aunties and Uncles all gave me money and too much at that! Will definitely use this to treat myself and I’m sure I’ll be reviewing a lot of my purchases for you guys!
My Friends:
I’ve mentioned before that my friends are incredible. I really do not know where I would be without them. I know that if I ever have a problem they will be there to help me solve it or get through it <3
Jack bought me “Too Faced Better Than Sex” Mascara because he saw it in my April Wishlist blog post. I really wish that I had filmed my reaction when he gave it to me. There were tears in my eyes and I couldn’t believe it haha! I’ve wanted this mascara for so long and now I finally have it!! Will do a review on it soon. He also gave me money which I am going to buy the Rose Gold Cat Ear Headphones that were also in my April Wishlist.
Ciaran bought me a bottle of Rose Wine. Firstly, I am a sucker for Rose wine so that got me excited HOWEVER, the best part about this wine is that it has a wee personalised message! “Holly Da Silva – Happy Birthday Holls – Love from Ciaran xxx” I will definitely be keeping this bottle when it’s empty as a keepsake. So cute!
Kirsty bought me the Morphe 35T Palette and ugh just look at how gorgeous it is!! I am very excited to try out many different looks with this palette and I’ll definitely be reviewing it for you guys. She also got me something else but it hasn’t arrived yet so I can’t wait for that!
Dalia is a girl that I work with and so I was so surprised when she turned up to the night out with a gift for me! She bought me this amazing Stirling Silver Love Heart Bracelet and also a little wall plaque. How adorable is she?! (I don’t have a picture of this at the moment)
I guess the last person left is my boyfriend, James. James gave me such an amazing present that I genuinely did tear up when he told me. You guys wont know this about me yet but I have a big love for animals. Pretty much any animal – you name it – I love it. My two favourites are Pugs and Otters. Last year he bought me a lovely hand made otter necklace and this year has followed the theme and booked us an Otter Experience Day! The experience day is down at the Dartmoor National Park near Plymouth. As I have family there we are going to make a trip of it and go while visiting family. The otters will actually sit on my lap!! I guess now this post is up I have to admit that my birthday is well and truly over but hey 359 days until my 21st!
