April Favourites

April 30, 2016

Yup, it is April 30th!  Where has the time gone?!  Lets not complain as it just means that all the bloggers start to do there April Favourites which honestly are one of my favourite things to read!  I love knowing what others have been trying out and loving and see what things I would like to try out myself.  Lets get started!

>For ease I have split my favourites into sections<

Make Up

Better Than Sex Mascara – This was in my April Wishlist and if you have read my ‘Lucky Girl’ post you will know that I was gifted this by my friend, Jack.  I have non stop used this mascara since and I’ve really been enjoying it!  I don’t want to go into too much detail about this product as I will be doing a full review on it sometime soon!

TopShop Mother of Pearl Highlighter – I honestly didn’t have much hope for this highlighter but I really wanted to try it as I don’t have any others.  My god was I wrong! This highlight is gorgeous!  It gives the right amount of shimmer without being over powering.  Definitely in love.

Vivo Baked Bronzer – Vivo is a Tesco brand that I don’t think is even available anymore.  I’ve had it for a while now but only recently re-discovered my love for it.  As you can see mine is quite beat up and bashed but hey that just means it is well loved right?  It leaves a subtle glow to your face without being to shimmery.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo – This is the shade “On and On Bronze” and I am obsessed with it!  Other than the colour being gorgeous I love that you can just chuck this on all over the lid and still look put together.  It’s one of those tricks where it looks like you spent heaps of time on your make up but really it took 30 seconds.  I wear this on most nights out with a matte brown through my crease.

Morphe 35T Palette – Again this was in my April Wishlist and again I was gifted it for my birthday.  The colours in this palette are so pretty and the pigment is incredible!   There is so many different looks I want to do with this palette and I’ll definitely do a full review and multiple looks for you guys.

Skincare

Pixi Glow Tonic – This is a toning exfoliator and I would highly recommend it to everyone! It is enriched with Ginseng and Glycolic Acid.  It simply removes any dead skin cells with toning and firming the skin.  It has quite a strong floral scent that wears off after a few minutes. (I forgot to get a photo!)

Vitimin C Facial Wash by Soap and Glory – If you’ve read my ‘One brand review’ post you will already know about this scrub.  It is gentle but effective and leaves the skin feeling smooth and soft.  The bottle is huge and a little definitely goes a long way – definitely worth the money!

Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Charcoal Face Scrub –  This is a boots own brand face scrub and I honestly did not have very high hopes for this but once again I was proved wrong.  I use this every other day after taking my make up off and I have seen an improvement to my skin ever since.  There is often offers on this brand so definitely check out them out. (I forgot to get a photo!)

Haircare

Fudge Urban Crisp Pear & Sweet Vanilla Dry Shampoo – I guess this technically is not haircare but it’s for your hair so I’m going to include it!  I don’t often use dry shampoo and usually not for the purpose it is made for.  I use it more to give my hair a bit of lift or to brighten it up after straightening.  The smell of this dry shampoo is incredible!  Infact all of the Fudge Urban products smell great.  I also use the hairspray by them in the scent ‘Iced Raspberry and Vanilla’ (forgot to get a photo before I threw it out 🙁 )

Aussie Repair Miracle Shampoo and Conditioner – I love trying out new shampoo’s and conditioners and this duo are my current favourites.  My hair can get very dry and so I am always on the hunt for a moisture packed shampoo and conditioner.  It has Macadamia Nut Oil, Jojoba-seed Oil and Avocado Oil which help to enrich your hair.

Food

What would a favourites be without a food favourite?  I have just one for this month and it is the Digestives Caramel Nibbles.  My boyfriend and I have been crazy about these and have bought one to many packets!  They are caramel digestives but in a small ball form and they are incredibly addictive.

Music

No matter what I am doing I have to be listening to music to keep me motivated.  I make great use of my Spotify account which is £10 a month or if you are a student you can get it for £5 which is an absolute bargain!  You can use spofity for free, it just means that you can only skip songs a certain amount of times per day and you will get an advert every 3-4 songs.  If you have spotify and want to know what I am listening to then go ahead and follow my ‘Dasilvax’ Playlist!  It really is a mish mash of songs but all of which I enjoy.

I’d say that is a fairly short April Favourites but I was away on holiday for half of it!  Look out for my May Wishlist which will be up very soon and also my make up looks with the Morphe Palette!  I apologise for the lack of pictures! Living between two houses definitely has it downsides!
