I can’t believe I have actually managed to post every single day for 25 days – literally more posts than I put up last year in total!!
I thought for today’s post I would do a sort of overview of Blogmas and my thoughts towards it. During the 25 days I’ve had a lot of questions such as; Is it hard?, How do you find the time and Are you happy with your posts?
In short the answers to those are; Yes, early planning and not completely!
The first hurdle with Blogmas is of course, ideas. I did a lot of searching on other peoples blogs for ideas back in October and started planning how I would go about it. This changed so much over November/December with new ideas popping into my head or just simply realising that I didn’t have the time (or money) to execute things.
In regards to being happy with my posts, I have to be honest. Some of my posts felt rushed and not up to the quality that I would have hoped. I did at times feel like I was just churning out posts because I had to and not necessarily because I wanted to. With this being said I did have fun with majority of my posts and I’ve definitely learnt how difficult it is to be a full time blogger – with a full time job!
I really do hope that people have enjoyed me doing Blogmas however I don’t think I’ll be doing it again next year unless I am super prepared and start writing in July – which based on my previous blogging patterns is highly unlikely!
What’s Next? I am going on holiday on the 29th to Berlin with my bestfriend for New Year so I decided that I am not going to be posting until I am back and my Blogger of the Week segment will continue on the 7th of January.
I wish you all a merry Christmas and the most wonderful New Year!
