Aberdeen has had some absolutely gorgeous weather over the past few days and I can confidently say that spring time has arrived! With the sudden change in weather it is time to pack away my jumpers and thermals and crack out the dresses and cami tops! The items featured in this post were kindly sent to me by Get That Trend.
Get That Trend is an online boutique based in Co. Donegal in Ireland. Their range includes a wide variety of dresses, jeans, tops, accessories and more. I absolutely love that they have a section for ‘Jeans and a Nice Top’ – an absolute life saver! Just in the past week or so Get That Trend have also introduced a menswear section – it is quite a small range of shirts, jumpers and polo’s but I have no doubt that they will increase their range in the coming months.
Let’s get into the outfits shall we?
The first item was the Lysandra Khaki with Pink Floral Detail Jumpsuit (£52). I received this jumpsuit in a size 14 and unfortunately while it fitted perfect on my top half it was rather snug around my tum and bum. Despite this, I love it!
What I love about this jumpsuit it how versatile it is. It can most definitely be styled down with some trainers such as Vans or Converse – chuck on a cute lil backpack and you’re ready for a day out. Styled with some strappy nude heels and you’re ready for cocktails with the gals.
If midi dresses are more your scene then you will absolutely love the Peggy Sue Green Floral Polka Dot Midi Dress (£34). Again, I went for a size 14 and this dress fit like an absolute dream – as long as you don’t mind (a lot) of cleavage!
The dress is super on trend with the midi length and the mixed print and while it is not everyone’s cup of tea, I am mad about it! I love the little flared sleeve and the ruffle around the bottom. You could definitely pair this dress with some white hi-top converse to make it a more casual or style it with some white heeled boots for a more dressy look.
My third and sadly final item is the Sonny Rust Polka Dot High Neck Mini Dress (£30). Gorgeous isn’t she?? Like the rest of the items, I got this in a size 14 and my only complaint was the neck is just a bit too wide. Not a major issue as I can take that in myself but just something to be aware of.
The wrap over design and matching belt work well together, cinching in your waist which I think flattered my figure. I love this dress so much that I actually wore it to the theatre for my birthday and I have to say I was incredibly comfy being in it all day! I styled it very simply with black tights, white boots and my white Ted Baker hand bag.
Overall I would say that Get That Trend is on the pricier side however I don’t mind paying for items when I receive good quality and I have zero complaints about the quality of all of these items. They have a huge selection of dresses, tops, jeans, jumpsuits and more, that I can confidently say that there is something for everyone! Something worth noting is that I believe the biggest size they have is a 14.
I want to pop in a big thank you to the team at Get That Trend – they’ve been a fab brand to work with and I hope to work with them again in the future to give you some more fabulous looks 🌟
