[Post contains gifted clothing items from Femme Luxe Finery]
I don’t know about you but when I get invited to an event or drinks with the gals I am always completely stumped about what to wear – day drinks especially! Are jeans too casual? Do I need to wear heels? Ahhh the stress! I decided to team up with Femme Luxe again to create some day to night outfit inspo.
Mesh Madness
A big trend right now is mesh and it’s something I’ve always avoided but with my recent body positive confidence I decided to throw this Black Glitter mesh Long Sleeve Top into my basket.
I styled the top with a grey bralet underneath, skinny black jeans and some black high heeled boots. A super simple ‘Jeans and a nice top’ look but the sparkle of the top gives it a glam twist. To dress it up more you could switch out the boots for some strapy heels.
Shirt Dress Perfection
I’ve forever avoided shirt dresses thinking they wouldn’t suit my larger figure but I’ve always loved how they look on other people. When I saw this Navy Rolled Sleeved Shirt Dress I had an influx of ideas on how to style it and so I decided to give it a go! Shirt dresses are a really simple way to look dressed up and are super versatile too.
Keeping with the simplistic vibe I paired the shirt dress with some black strapy heels and a neon orange snake print bag for a pop of colour. I love this look – it is definitely one of those outfits that looks like you’ve made loads of effort but you haven’t aanndd it’s comfy! Win Win!
Camo Crazy
Maybe you’ve noticed but I’m really into the camo trend right now so it was an absolute must have in this look book. You may remember from my Taking Fashion Risks post that I had a pair of grey camo cargo trousers and well I loved them so much that I’ve bought it in skirt form!
I didn’t realise that this skirt was going to be a body con fit so when it arrived I was kind of scared to try it on but it has quickly become my favourite skirts ever! It is super stretchy which makes it incredible comfortable for any occasion. Paired with a black tee and some converse or some heeled boots and you’re ready for any event.
Blue Blouse of Dreams
The ‘jeans and a nice top’ look is always a go to but finding that perfect nice top can be a real struggle! I often gravitate towards a basic floaty cami but I’ts definitely time to switch it up – especially with the winter coming round.
This Cobalt Blue Satin Button Up Tie Front Shirt is a perfect edition to my wardrobe for many reasons! You will 100% stand out because of the striking colour and it’s a pretty versatile item too. Whether you tie it up into a slight cropped shirt or tuck it into some black jeans like I have, it looks great. Add some white boots for a twist of something different and it’s a simple yet stylish outfit for many occasions.
All four of these looks have something different to offer and can be dressed up or down depending on your particular style or the occasion. Femme Luxe is super affordable and with the quality of their items it’s kind of hard to resist creating a whole new wardrobe from them!
What’s your favourite look from this post? Or what’s your go to night out outfit? Let me know!

My favourite is the camo skirt! Love that look with chunky boots and a black top for a nice but not too dressy drinks event! Becca x
These are some great looks! I love the camo skirt – that’s definitely my favourite look of the three. Although you can never go wrong with a nice dress or jeans and a nice top. Can I ask where the heart belt is from? 😍
The camo skirt is definitely a winner! My belt is from ASOS I believe – I got it a while back but I think they still have it x
Thanks! I’ll check out their website. xx
