I guess the title gives this post topic away juuuust a tad! Yes! I started a YouTube Channel – 10 years after first saying I wanted to do it but hey better late than never! I figured I would put together a little post about why I wanted to start a channel and what you can expect from me in the future.
WHY DID I START?
From a super young age I’ve loved watching YouTube videos. I followed the classics such as JuicyStar07, Shane Dawson, Grace Helbig, Zoella, Tyler Oakley… the list goes on! I would film little clips on my laptop such as doing my make up or an attempt at singing but never had the courage to post anything (probably for the better!) About 2 years ago I bought a Sony HX90 in an attempt to push me into filming but again I just didn’t have the courage to post anything!
I’m almost 24 now and I felt like if I didn’t start it now, I never would! I see fellow bloggers having a great time filming and thought “Holly you have to do this”. So here we are! Opening myself up to ridicule but also potentially finding something that I have a real love and passion for!
WHAT WILL BE ON THE CHANNEL?
A bit like my blog, I aim to have a little bit of everything. Weekly/daily vlogs, product reviews, food reviews, make up ‘tutorials’, fitness journey, challenges with my friends – just everything. I want to post whatever I feel like posting that week rather than being stuck in a beauty or foodie category.
I also won’t be sticking to a specific uploading routine – not yet anyway! It’s taking some getting used to i.e remembering to film, making time to edit, making time to blog and also have a life! Ideally it would be two videos per week; one vlog and one ‘sit down’ video but we’ll see!
IS THERE ANYTHING ON THE CHANNEL NOW?
I’m so glad that you asked! I have 3 video’s live on my channel so far. 2 weekly vlogs and a sit down Q&A with Kirsty.
I would super duper love it if you could head over to my channel and subscribe! I’m currently aiming for 50 subscribers by the end of 2019. Also a wee like and comment wouldn’t go a miss either! One more thing – if you have any feedback (good or bad) about my video’s, please let me know. I’m very new to filming / editing and any help to improve is thoroughly appreciated!
