Afternoon Tea … but for breakfast. Need I say more??
Cup Tea Salon is a quaint, Alice in Wonderland themed Tearoom based on Little Belmont Street in the city centre.
Stephen took me here for my birthday breakfast treat so we decided to go all out and opted for ‘The Morning Breakfast Stand’. This is basically an Afternoon Tea style breakfast featuring mini sliders with bacon and poached egg, pancakes topped with both banana and toffee sauce and fresh fruit, mini granola pots, fruit bowls and to top it off a wonderful cup of tea or coffee.
LAYER ONE – FRESH FRUIT & GRANOLA POTS
At the top of the stand we had 4 little pots. 2 contained a mix of chopped fresh fruits and the other a mix of yogurt and granola. Stephen has a mild nut allergy and the staff were super helpful in whisking the granola away and replacing it with a little bowl of cheerios!
LAYER TWO – MINI SLIDERS
Layer 2 consisted of 2 bacon and 2 poached egg mini sliders served in brioche buns. These were honestly delicious. They were the perfect size to get a good taste for the sliders but not too much that you couldn’t have anymore to eat.
LAYER THREE – PANCAKES
Layer 3 was definitely the one I was looking forward to the most! One pancake was topped with fresh fruit and maple syrup and the other was topped with banana and toffee sauce. If I could have this for breakfast everyday, I definitely wouldn’t complain!
Cup truly is a tea lovers dream with 5 Signature Tea Lattes, 6 White Teas, 6 Black Teas and 15 Fruit Teas – not to mention your classics!
Overall, our breakfast was completely un-faultable. The food was lovely, the choice they offer is incredible, the service was friendly and the cafe itself its beautiful. We were £35 for our breakfast which is great value for money too.
I honestly can’t believe it has taken me this long to visit Cup but I can assure you it shall not be the last.
