Oooh this is a good one, I promise!
I’m not usually one to get pizza when I’m out but Stephen was super keen to try @pizzapunksofficial whilst on our trip away and oh my god it was an incredible shout.
ABOU PIZZA PUNKS
Pizza Punks first opened in Glasgow in September 2016 with their flagship store being based on St Vincent Street. They are big advocates of freedom of expression, making your own choices and ultimately just not playing by the rules! Since their flagship store opened they have gone on to open 5 more stores in Belfast, Newcastle, Leeds, Leicester and Durham.
PIZZA PUNK GLASGOW
Firstly, the vibe was very chilled. You truly could ‘come as you are’ – no need to be dolled up. It had a mix of rustic and industrial décor with graphic neon light quotes kicking about the walls and windows.
Something I very much appreciated was the open kitchen – I love restaurant’s that do this! It instantly makes you feel at ease that your food is being cooked in a clean and hygienic environment.
THE MENU
So, let’s talk about the menu… you can choose from Small Plates, Pizza Classics/Specials, Pasta Classics/Specials and of course Desserts.
Now, the twist is, (if you haven’t guessed already), if you aren’t feeling any of their pre-made Pizza/Pasta combos you can completely make your own. Pizzas are just £12 with unlimited toppings.

Stephen had looked at the menu before we went and already knew he was going for the Salt & Chilli Pizza. This consisted of red sauce, fior di latte, salt & chilli chicken, mixed peppers, spring onion and a salt & chilli crust 🌶

Usually I’m too indecisive for a ‘create your own’ situation but I’d had a drink and was willing to take the risk! I went for a white sauce base with chicken, mushrooms, jalapenos, and red onion.
Both Pizzas were unreal! I’m almost glad we don’t have a Pizza Punks in Aberdeen because I’d be the size of a house. They were so good 🤤

We also shared a side of ‘Nduja Mac and Cheese which was also incredible. It had the right amount of kick to be enjoyable and not overpowering.
OVERALL THOUGHTS ABOUT PIZZA PUNKS
Pizza Punks has become a firm ‘must visit’ place when we have future trips to Glasgow. The food was hot, fresh and super tasty! I’d much rather go to a restaurant like this than order from the usual Pizza Hut, Donimos or Pizza Express 100%!
