The Albyn has recently been done up and is absolutely gorgeous. Lots of deep navy tones and the area we were sitting in almost felt like we were outside. Big glass roof and loads of plants. A summer vibe for sure – I think it will be equally as gorgeous when it starts to snow too.
When my sister and I decided to take mum for Brunch, The Albyn was a highly recommended choice and now I can see why!
Mum opted for a Full Scottish Breakfast; sausage, black pudding, haggis, back bacon, grilled tomato, mushrooms, baked beans, tattie scone, eggs of your choice and of course sourdough toast. This was an absolute feast! In fact, she had to pass some off to me (not that I was complaining!)
My sister and I went for a somewhat healthier option of the Rise and Shine Sourdough Bennys. A crunchy piece of sourdough toast topped with smashed avocado, 2 poached eggs and of course hollandaise sauce – amazing 👌🏻
To end our brunch, we ordered some French Martinis which weren’t on the menu, but the bar was more than willing to accommodate!
Our service over the morning was highly attentive and they made sure that we were continually happy with our drinks. It was a very quiet Sunday morning when we went so if you are looking for a quiet time to visit – that would be it!
