The neon yellow sign was calling my name on this one!
Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) has 36 restuarants across the UK – unfortunately Aberdeen is not one of those – So we visited one of the two Bristol stores whilst on holiday.

Stephen quickly gravitated towards the specialty Korean BBQ Chicken Burger. This consisted of buttermilk chicken thigh in a new GBK seasoning served with kimchi coleslaw and Korean BBQ sauce all in a soft and sesame topped bun. He let me have a bite and it was delicious! Honestly if he hadn’t ordered it, I definitely would have.

I decided to go for the Loaded Beef Burger. I don’t usually go for beef burgers, but this sounded irresistible. A 6oz beef patty topped with pulled beef, garlic butter, BBQ bourbon sauce with all the trimmings of pickles, both fresh and crispy onion and house mayo again in a soft and sesame topped bun. The beef patty was the perfect balance of juicy and flavourful.

We decided to also share a portion of fries and onion rings – both of which were a perfect accompaniment to the burgers.
I truly don’t think we spoke whilst eating these because everything was just so darn good. 100% recommend trying out Gourmet Burger Kitchen when your next burger craving hits!
