Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been trialing the High Protein Sculpting Shake from Nutribuddy – something I have looked into before but never really gave it a chance. If you’re following me on Instagram, you’ll know that I’ve been worked pretty hard at the gym and on my diet recently. So it was absolutely perfect timing for Nutribuddy to contact me!

WHO ARE NUTRIBUDDY
Nutribuddy sells a variety of products that aim to aid weight loss and a healthy lifestyle. The brand was created on 3 core values;
- To sell products that customer are excited about and will love. Alongside this premise, they offer a 31-day happiness guarantee just in case you aren’t happy!
- To only sell products made with the finest quality, healthy ingredients. Nutribuddy aim to only use natural products from reputable suppliers that are produced in the most natural and environmentally-friendly way.
- To make products with the environment in mind. Every product made by Nutribuddy is Vegan and Cruelty free! They use very minimal package to reduce waste and have opted to use glass jars for some of their products so they can be reused.
INGREDIENTS aND TASTE
As I mentioned, Nutribuddy are a Vegan and Cruelty Free brand so instantly it is not like your standard protein powders. This shake is made up of Rice Protein, Gluten-Free Oats, Pea Protein, Stevia, Natural Flavourings, Matcha Green Tea, Flax Seed, Hemp Protein Powder.
I’m not going to lie. The idea gluten-free oats scared me. I was super worried that the shake would be lumpy and while it did take a bit of getting used to, it tastes really good. I find that many protein powders that are flavoured tend to taste very artificial or sugary but this one has a nice hint of vanilla. The shake also comes in strawberry and chocolate flavour, which I’d be really keen to see how they taste too.

HOW TO USE
The shakes themselves are super simple to make up. Just add 2 heaped spoon fulls (that come with the product) of the powder to the bottle, along with 400ml of water, milk or milk alternative – give it a shake and voila… your shake is ready! The one thing I would point out is that the bottle doesn’t have any measurements on the side. Note though, that 400ml is up to the ‘T’ on the bottle! Also, you could definitely throw some frozen fruit in their too if you wanted to make it more of a smoothie.
I tend to have these shakes as a breakfast replacement as they act as a good on-the-go meal that is packed full of nutrients. I’ll have the shake at around 8am when I get into work and it keeps me satisfied until around 11:30 which is perfect. I’ve tried many meal replacement shakes before that just act like juice and you still want to snack 20 minutes later!
The other great time to have a shake is after a hard work out at the gym. As it is high-protein, it helps to recover your muscles quicker and avoid the aching that can occur! I do a lot of strength heavy work outs with my personal trainer and am getting back into running again so quick recovery for me is important.
My OVERALL THOUGHTS
I genuinely really like these shakes. Since trying these I have become very interested in the other products that Nutribuddy have to offer such as their; Breakfast Shake, Hot Slim and the Chia & Coconut Instant Porridge! All of the products are pretty budget friendly compared to other protein powders and meal replacement products. For a two week supply of the High-Protein Sculpting Shake you are looking at a small £19.99 which I think is great. If you want a shaker bottle included it’s an added £7.99 which also isn’t a hefty price but you could definitely get a cheaper non-branded one if you’d prefer.

Have you tried any Nutribuddy products? If so, let me know which ones and if you liked them too!
