STARTERS

Our starters had us excited. The Chicken was super tender and melted in the mouth and the Paneer was packed with flavour and had hefty kick to it! 🔥The portion size on these was big too! If you were looking for something less filling you could absolutely have the Chicken Roast with some rice.

MAINS

From here we had some concerns. Firstly, S had originally ordered Coconut Rice and I’ll hold my hands up that we had not checked the ingredients of this prior to ordering but we sadly had to send it back due to their being nuts cooked through it.  Upon making this discovery the waitress was quick to change it for plain rice instead.  It then came about that his Nadan Chicken Curry also contained nuts – this however is not stated on the menu at all.  Luckily they were able to go and make him a nut free version 🥜

The nut free version of the Nadan Chicken Curry was deliciously creamy and mild. The sauce was perfect for being lapped up with by the Chapati and Kerala Parotta.

I had mixed feelings about my Mixed Seafood Curry.  The big chunks of King Fish and the Prawns were delicious and the sauce had a little kick to it however the rest fell flat for me.  The squid was quite tough and I didn’t find the sauce overly flavourful. I definitely wish I had gone with the Lamb and Spinach Curry instead. The Lemon Rice also did not excite me in flavour.

Hopefully I just did go for the right options on this trip and I’d be keen to go back – without Stephen and his nut allergy!
