I know I know this is SUPER late and I apologise greatly for that. I also have the November box to post still! I’m such a bad blogger 😦
I have always wanted a subscription box and when I became a student I noticed that UniDays did an offer of 50% off your first Birchbox order. How could I pass that offer down!? It meant that I got my first box for £7.95!
I was incredibly impressed at how quickly my box was ordered, it was genuinely within a matter of days! This is always a plus point for me as I like to know when my orders are coming in and it seems that with Birchbox it will be the same time each month.
So lets get into the box! You get 6 products and usually one of them is a full size. Also in the box is a leaflet that tells you all about the products that are inside, including information on what they are, what they claim to do and how much they retail for. I will find links to the full price products so that you can check them out for yourself!
The first item to talk about is the Rituals – Ritual of Sakura Body Cream. This is the travel size of this product and retails at £6. This product claims to intensively nourish and firm the skin. It contains anitoxidants, Vitamin E and Centella Asiatica. It also has Rice Milk and Cherry in it to provide the smell more than any added benefits.
Next up is Batiste Stylist XXL Volume Spray. A full size can of this is 200ml and costs around £4.29. This one is 50ml so I guess it is classed as travel sized too. Batiste are very well known for their dry shampoo which is absolutely incredible so I’m excited to see what this can do!
I can seem to find this one on the BirchBox website however the little booklet says this one retails for £1.99. Not really much to say about an eyebrow brush – does the job!
Finally a make-up item! Lord and Berry Maxi Matte Crayon Lipstick. This gorgeous pencil is in the shade Intimacy and retails for £12! This one is obviously a full size product which I am very happy about. It is a reddish nude colour which I absolutely love for autumn winter.
Whish Renewing Mud Mask. I have never heard of this brand before but definitely excited to try it out! The full size product retails at £29 for a 60ml bottle. The mask is full of fruit enzymes that help to brighten and purify the skin. I think I’ll probably get two masks, maybe three out of this sample size.
Firstly I am going to apologise for the photo of this one. Trying to take a picture of a clear bottle that has clear liquid proved difficult!! Anyway this is the Number 4 Fluoro5 Elixer Restore and Repair Oil. The full size product retails for £18.40 for a 60ml bottle. This hair oil is designed to nourish and smooth hair. With it coming up to winter I think I will really get the good of this little product!
Finally I want to talk about the packaging – It is stunning! I love the little drawer style box it comes in and every month looks different dependant on the theme they go for!
Finally I have shared my October BirchBox with you guys! Did you enjoy this box? let me know!
Stay tuned for my November one and also my overall thoughts on BirchBoxes!
