It’s at that time of year again when I have to start switching up my skincare routine to combat the freezing cold weather of Aberdeen! If you’ve read my summer skincare routine, you’ll know that I already suffer from dry skin so when you add winter weather into the mix… it’s not fun! Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been playing around with different products and I think I have cracked it!

Skincare Saviours

Enjo EYe Pads

Step one is to of course have a clean face. I’ve been trying to cut down the amount of products I use on my skin and so this Eye Pad from Enjo is absolutely perfect. This wee beauty just needs some warm water and it removes every bit of makeup with ease.

Enjo is a brand that believes in a chemical-free home and therefore they make their products with “ENJOtex Fibers” which remove dirt and particles from all crevices. The dirt is trapped by the ENJO products until washed out of the fibre which can be done with just a little bit of soap. They are incredibly cost-effective as they are £14 for a set of two and last up to 3 years!

foreo luna mini 3*

My ultimate skincare saviour at the moment and is the FOREO LUNA mini 3! You may have seen my post about this device not too long ago but I am still in love with it. Just in case you haven’t read it yet the FOREO LUNA mini 3 is an amazing facial cleanser that uses powerful T-Sonic pulsations that work effortlessly to remove excess dirt, oil and even sweat from deep within your pores.

After just once use of the facial massager my skin felt super soft and my skin was glowing. After 2 weeks or so, I noticed that my breakouts have reduced considerably! Since using this product my skin has been less visibly dry, where before I would have dry and often flaky skin – embarrassing! If you’re keen to purchase one of these little beauties yourself you can head over to Cult Beauty where you can choose from a variety of colours; Pearl Pink, Fuchsia, Mint, Sunflower Yellow and Midnight Black. the body shop youth liquid peel

I’ve definitely raved about The Body Shop Youth Liquid Peel and I’m definitely going to do it again! If you haven’t tried this stuff yet then what on earth are you waiting for?! It is the most disturbing yet satisfying product I have ever used.

Skincare saviours Drops of Youth Liquid Peel

Just one pump of the gel is enough to ball up all of the dry and dead skin that is left sitting on your face. Like I said, very disgusting yet very satisfying! I tend to use this 2 – 3 times a week and my skin feels incredible after. After just one use I can guarantee that you’ll see a difference to your skin!

moroccan rose superfood facial oil

Any good routine definitely needs a good oil! My go-to right now is the Dr Botanical’s Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil. I included this product in my summer routine which had been gifted to me, however, this one is brand new bought by me! Even James has been enjoying this stuff.

First of all, the smell is divine – provided you like the smell of roses of course. I’m often worried that oils can feel either greasy or sticky and this one is neither. Just a couple of drops leaves your skin feeling super hydrated and soft too.

Superfood reviving hydrating mask*

My final skincare saviour is another product from Dr Botanicals! It’s the Cocoa & Coconut Superfood Reviving Hydrating Mask. I’ve never really been a fan of face masks – honestly, I’m just a bit too lazy to sit and wait for them to dry! I was kindly sent this one from Dr Botanicals and so I figured it was worth a shot.

Again this product smells so good but not overpowering! A little definitely goes a long way with this mask and you only need to leave it on for 5 – 10 minutes so it doesn’t take a lot of commitment. I have been using this mask twice a week and my skin has felt so great. I think I have officially been converted to a face mask lover!

Collectively, these items have genuinely saved my skin. My pores have minimised and I no longer have to deal with dry, tight skin. As the weather gets colder I’m sure that a thick moisturiser will be added in too just to be on the safe side.

Do you suffer with dry skin? What’s your secret to keeping your skin hydrated?
