MERRRRYYYY CHRRIISSTMAAS!
Hello everyone and welcome back! Posting a day earlier than normal purely because its I wanted to post a Christmas post on Christmas day! I hope you are all having a magical day filled with mince pies, turkey and family! Today I thought I’d do more of a ‘get to know me’ post and I felt like a Christmas tag was the perfect idea! 1. What is your favourite Christmas film?
The Snowman. The Snowman is a film that I have watched and loved since I was a child and when I watch it, it brings back so many lovely and warm memories!
2. Have you ever had a White Christmas?
Scotland is weird for snow. We either have lots of snow or nothing at all. This year we have had heaps which is the first in a while for sure! Of course it all iced over and made it a nightmare to do anything!! Unfortunately all the snow has gone now so another year of a rain filled Christmas.
3. Where do you usually spend your holiday?
On Christmas Day I spend it with family during the day and friends in the evening! I work in fast food which means I often work a lot over the holidays including christmas eve and boxing day (which is also my anniversary which sucks!)
4. What is your favorite Christmas song?
This is maybe a cop out of an answer but I love any Christmas song covered by Michael Buble. He is just has such a feel good vibe to him and he is played very loudly in my household over Christmas!
5. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
Nope, everything is left to christmas day when my family come round.
6. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
Rudolph, Vixen, Dancer, Dasher, Prancer, Comet, Cupid, Donner… I think thats them all??
7. What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?
I love how much my family bonds over Christmas time. On Christmas Eve we all get together and help mum set up for Christmas over a bottle of wine or two! It is always my job to make a perfect trifle!
8. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
We have a fake tree! It’s the same fake tree we’ve had for as long as I can remember and it has the most amount of decorations that I have ever seen! My mum is a bauble hoarder/collector. She gets a new bauble from anywhere that she visits so our tree is full of homemade baubles and others are from all around the world.
9. What is your all-time favorite holiday food/sweet treat?
This one is maybe an unpopular opinion however my favourite holiday food is honey roasted parsnips! Mum makes them every year and they are delishhh!
10. Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
I love giving gifts! I love seeing peoples reaction when you buy or make them the perfect gift! I always spend far too much on presents at Christmas time but I just can’t help it.
11. What is the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?
This is a tough one! I’ve received so many wonderful gifts over the years! I guess a recent favourite would be my beautiful rose gold Goji headphones that I got last year or maybe my Michael Korrs watch. I actually prefer getting given an activity such as Afternoon Tea’s or Spa Days. I like the idea of being given a memory as a gift.
12. What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
New York! Maybe that’s super cliche but I just think it would be so magical!
13. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?
I’m a pro if its a box shape but anything else I’m absolutely useless.
14. Most memorable Holiday moment?
Last year the whole family made it round for christmas; Mum, Brother, Sister + her husband and 2 children, Grandma, Auntie and Uncle and we played games all evening.
15. When did you realize the truth about Santa?
I truly don’t know however I do remember thinking I was really sly because I thought my older brother and sister didn’t know but I did. I need to point out that my brother is 9 years older than me and my sister is older than him!
16. Do you make New Years resolutions? Do you stick to them?
I make them every year and I never stick to them because I’m super unrealistic however I have a few for next year that I definitely think I can manage!
17. What makes the holidays special for you?
Family time! My brother works away so he sometimes isn’t home often and my sister has 3 children to look after so it’s really rare that we are all together at the same time and it just makes me appreciate my family even more when we are together.
